Safe Village Update: 2 Acres of Land Secured in Kajiado

We are excited to share a significant milestone in our Safe Village journey: we have successfully secured 2 acres of land in Kajiado County, Kenya!

About the Location

Kajiado County is home to many Maasai communities where FGM and forced marriage remain prevalent. By establishing our Safe Village here, we can provide immediate support to girls fleeing these harmful practices.

The Vision

The Jambo Africa Safe Village will include:

  • A 30-bed rescue and rehabilitation centre
  • Trauma counselling facilities
  • Educational classrooms
  • Vocational training workshops
  • Agricultural training area
  • Safe outdoor spaces

Funding Needed

With the land secured, we now need $380,000 to construct the facility. This will enable us to shelter 120+ girls per year and provide them with the support they need to rebuild their lives.
